Hello from Hever Castle!!!!

Judging from the response – thanks!!! – my Austen-themed giveaway was mega-popular. Sooooo sorry that there could only be one thrilled winner (from Georgia, USA, as it happened!)

Was just going to organise another one when THIS turned up – completely forgotten by me – organised by Always Austen, where I blog once a month (among 25 other mad-keen Austen writers). What’s so great about this Austen-themed giveaway – as you can see, the prizes are surprisingly similar – is that Rafflecopter assigns each prize to a different readers, so your chances of landing, say, an Austenesque keyring is far higher.

I'm stealing this idea for October’s newsletter giveaway!!!

(PLEASE NOTE: The Always Austen giveaway is open till Oct. 6th. Also note: ALWAYS AUSTEN’s policy is, should you be advised that you've won, you have to claim it within a day, or else it’ll be handed on to the next randomly-chosen winner.)

There are loads of prizes... a selection is below.

heat-changing Jane Austen mugs

Jane Austen quote socks!

Lizzy Bennet fridge magnet

P&P roses!!

free P&P historical romance novel

One of these stunning necklaces of the original Austen book covers

Our first - and prob. last!!! - time ever on Wimbledon's Centre Court!!!

Above: Got lucky in the Lawn Tennis Association ballot for Ladies Finals Day!!!!!

Below: The Royal Albert Hall, August 30th, resplendent for a BBC Promenade Concert (the BBC Symphony Orchestra, which I used to play with). Fantastic playing!!!!!

However, our peaceful end-of-summer will come to a crashing halt next Sunday. This is because I rashly dared to book a stall at a local arts and crafts fair in Royal Tunbridge Wells (well hey, it’s a Regency place, as everyone here will know – in some respects, second only to Bath!!)

Have never sold my books in person before, but it's a "thing", and loads of my friends do brilliantly at these events.

Whether I shall dare go full-on Lady Catherine de Bourgh (meaning costumed), I rather doubt – the last time I did, possibly due to my shepherd’s-hook-like stick, one four-year-old girl was overjoyed to "meet" Little Bo Peep. (I admitted that I was, in fact, Bo-Peep as it was pretty unlikely the squirt had ever heard of the formidable Lady C. de Bourgh.

Anyway, I’ll be there with all paperbacks at half-price, so if free on September 8th, and in the catchment area, do pop along and see/meet me/make my day!!!

Venue details are on their website here, also on Instagram and Facebook.

Mega-happy in August when this happened.
And THIS is coming this week!!!!!! Buy all three and SAVE!!!!!!!!

To be published September 10th and FREE September 17th and 18th on Amazon!!!

I'm featured in a blog post here this month.

HAPPY AUTUMN, AND HAPPY READING!!!!!!
